The Physiologic Effects of Insulin

Mostly a bookmarking post here.  I wanted to share this link:  http://www.vivo.colostate.edu/hbooks/pathphys/endocrine/pancreas/insulin_phys.html

I think it's a pretty good summary of insulin's actions vis a vis glucose transport, metabolism and fat tissue.

Hey Insulin-Sane

Here is another source of nice physiological data, together with references and some pretty pics (mostly good). http://www.medbio.info/

BTW I guess NostrilDamus (Damned with faint Nose?) has lost his sense of smell for the difference between a worthwhile Conjecture and the other kind. I guess s/he follows in the footsteps of their almost NameSake whose prognostications have had as much predictive value as the forged Protocols of Zion!

Mind you I am also reminded of the Duchess' remark in Alice in Wonderland:

"he only does it to annoy
because he knows it teases"!!
