Have you considered hypovitaminosis D as a factor contributing to Metabolic Syndrome possibly via hypoadiponectinaemia?

Interesting link Nige. Especially that only WHEN you see insulin resistance does VitD status correlate with adiponectin. So I'm a bit skeptical about whether VitD supplementation will improve insulin sensitivity by improving adiponectin production. That would be an interesting study.
